Publishing Team

Bodhicharya Publications was created in 1998 in order to launch the first Lazy Lama booklet, Lazy Lama looks at Meditation.  The series was the brain child of Cait Collins who went on to edit the Lazy Lama looks at Refuge, then the Four Noble Truths and the Lazy Lama looks at Bodhichitta.  The most recent Lazy Lama on Fear and Anger was edited by Andy Powers.

Bodhicharya Publications produced a second series of books, the Heart Wisdom series, in 2007, with a limited edition booklet, Mahamudra and Dzogchen. This was followed by Ngondro, a Commentary by Ringu Tulku in 2008 and this year, 2009, we published our first compilation of talks in Milk to Yoghurt – A Recipe for Living and Dying.

Following the publication of the Ngondro Commentary in 2008 I realised that there was a need to form a publishing team of students who would be willing to help edit and publish Ringu Tulku’s teachings. I was able to find a group of enthusiastic and hardworking people from all over Europe and the subsequent Milk to Yoghurt compilation was our first joint effort.  As well as the publishing team we have an army of transcribers and translators who are co-ordinated by Maria Huendorf in Hamburg. Alison de Ledesma in Hampshire helps to distribute the books and Rachel Moffit (Lotuslines) in Oxford distributes for us via Amazon.

Everyone involved in Bodhicharya Publications, whether transcribers, editors , layout artist,  proof readers or distributers, are all volunteers, no one is paid for the work they do apart from the printer.  We are a non-profit organisation and all profits from sales are ploughed back into the publishing funds for future publications.  However, it’s our vision to produce good quality affordable Dharma books, based on teachings given by Ringu Tulku, that will be of help and support to as many people as possible.

All the Bodhicharya books are available to buy directly from Bodhicharya Publications and Amazon.  All orders direct to Bodhicharya Publications  from Dharma groups and centres receive a 35% discount for orders of 10 or more books.
