TO THE LAMA

To you my precious Lama I pray, hear these humble words.

Although fear and confusion rule my mind,
Sincere and absolute devotion to your teaching rule my heart.
Although selfishness and greed rule my actions.
the essence of my vow will never die.

In this ocean of samsara Dharma is my raft.
Although I drift this way and that. your light illuminates the path.
What blessings have I had that we should meet?
I pray that in this life and the next we will never part.

Please grant your blessings that my practice will benefit
others.......................
